πŸ”΄ Live show Thursday: K8s & Swarm alternative (#127)

On this Thursday's Live show, Jake Warner from Cycle.io is back to talk with Matt and me about LowOps. What does LowOps mean? What can Cycle offer us as an alternative to Swarm and Kubernetes?
You can also add it to your calendar here.

πŸŽ‰πŸ”΄ Special live show: DevPod for container dev env

Open Source Dev Containers with DevPod (Ep 216)
Starts at 3:45. Are you interested in using dev containers but prefer to use open source software? Lukas Gentele and Rich Burroughs from @loft_sh join me to…

Did you miss it? Tuesday this week, Loft Labs launched DevPod on my show. It's like GitHub Codespaces but fully open source and runnable on most Clouds or local Docker. It makes dev environment containers for you, and it also creates the infrastructure to run it on (including sleeping when not in use). It works with local Docker instances and clouds like AWS, GCP, Azure, DigitalOcean, Civo, and more. The project is compatible with Microsoft's DevContainer standard, which means it works with VS Code, JetBrains, and more. I dig it.

πŸ”΄ Live Q&A show: Learning Docker and Kubernetes: Live Q&A (Ep 215)

Live course enrollment for July: GitHub Actions + Argo CD

Automate Your Deployments on Kubernetes with GitHub Actions and Argo GitOps by Bret Fisher on Maven
Mature DevOps needs automation. Skip the pain of inventing workflows and implement my real-world templates for build-test-deploy pipelines.

Enrollment for our next live course is open. Dates are July 10-21.

"This course is great because I knew it's not just about learning Github Actions or ArgoCD. We can find a lot of documentation and videos about them on the internet, but here Bret conveys his experiences from real world scenarios." – Payam Saderi, DevOps Engineer at Macellan Bilişim
