Engineers Who Embrace AI Will Lead.
The Rest Will Follow.

The Agentic DevOps Guild prepares you for building AI-assisted CI/CD and infrastructure automation. Membership includes courses, workshops, and recurring meetups for engineers ready to improve the speed of CI/CD, master AI tooling, and learn the techniques that safely enable AI-assisted DevOps work.

Bret Fisher

From container DevOps to AI-assisted DevOps

I began as an IT Pro and Sysadmin thirty years ago because I loved helping people.

Ten years ago, with no social following and years of cloud DevOps under my belt, I fell in love with containers, became one of the first Docker Captains, and started selling Docker and Kubernetes courses full-time. I had a goal of helping 5,000 engineers and infrastructure admins who wanted to adopt leading-edge "cloud native" tech.

Fast forward to today, and I've sold over 400,000 courses and taught at conferences and meetups more times than I can count. Along the way, I enlisted my wife's help to build this business for providing content (over 1,000 videos and podcasts) and community support. It's been fantastic meeting and helping so many people level up their engineering skills and careers. I'm often approached by someone at KubeCon who took my courses as a junior dev and is now a senior or team lead.

Now I'm launching the next chapter.

In just four years, AI has changed our profession more quickly and significantly than anything in my career. To say it's rattled my confidence in delivering engineering value to businesses, and educational value to my audience, is an understatement!

But after years of intense study, while simultaneously going through the "AI career-stages-of-grief" (multiple times), I've emerged with a better understanding of our place in this new reality. I have a level-headed view of where AI-assisted engineering is taking us.

2025 was the year of agents and harnesses for coding. Everything got better by a lot. 2026 will be the year of managing context, automating more of our post-commit work, and reducing our toil. But it's still all bleeding-edge. We're lacking best practices, "where to start" guidance, and a community for automation-nerds and ops-minded folks to learn from.

I'm fixing that. Welcome to the Agentic DevOps Guild.

Fresh courses. Private community. Frequent hangouts for group learning. One membership.

I've been creating multiple small courses, with some content available now and more trickling out over the coming months. I'm starting with the fundamentals of GitHub Actions and agentic CI (GitHub calls this Continuous AI). This Guild will also need a space to learn and experiment together to accelerate our learning. I'm launching a new community chat on this site, with regular calls to grow our understanding of this paradigm shift together.

This has been months in the making, and I'm excited to finally let you in.

Your Host: Bret Fisher

Container and CI/CD pro. DevOps advisor. Docker Captain. Cloud Native Ambassador.

For a decade, my courses, videos, workshops, and conference talks on containers and DevOps have reached more than a million people.

After years of consulting on CI/CD and container infrastructure, in 2023 I started offering live GitHub Actions + Argo CD multi-week workshops that focused on teams seeing results by automating and improving their testing and deployments. This went so well I decided it needed to reach more people than what I could do in zoom. I wanted to offer courses, live mentorship and learning, and long-term community as a single package for automation and CI/CD focused engineers. Then AI happened and I started to augment everything with AI in 2024, launching the Agentic DevOps podcast in early 2025.

I'm also a practitioner. For the past 15 years, I have consulted and advised companies big and small, digging into DevOps projects and leading teams to “containerize” their apps and systems, improve their speed of deployment, resiliency, metrics, and awareness. Much of my focus over the last seven years has been automating container pipelines.

I've come to understand it's not enough to simply learn a tool, it's necessary to learn how multiple tools work together. I find one of the hardest parts is understanding the end-to-end workflow for getting software out of developer hands and into production servers, and then doing that many times a day. I see firsthand the positive impact on team performance and service reliability that an automated software lifecycle can have.

The Agentic DevOps podcast started with a question: “How can we use non-deterministic, often hallucinating LLMs to automate infrastructure—in a secure, tested, auditable way?”

This Agentic DevOps Guild is where we figure it out together.

Common questions

The Agentic DevOps Guild is a yearly membership program for DevOps engineers, and any software professional who wants to learn modern CI/CD, see how others are solving problems, and how to use AI to speed up the software lifecycle. It includes access to Bret's self-hosted courses, workshops, frequent calls with Bret and the ADOG community, access to community chat, and various additional resources to help you optimize your CI/CD for AI.
No, but yes. The Guild is tool-agnostic but specific courses will be about specific tools (first courses will be GitHub Actions rather than GitLab, etc.). The training and community are intended to be applicable across all popular AI tools and DevOps tech stacks. The goal is to learn workflows and AI Agents you can apply anywhere in software engineering (and beyond?) and we'll usually need to pick specific tools to learn with.
Anyone who wants to learn modern CI/CD and infrastructure management, see how others are solving problems in the DevOps, platform engineering, and SRE space, and how to use AI with these tools and processes to speed up the software lifecycle.
No problem! The Guild is for anyone involved in the software lifecycle who wants to learn these skills, regardless of prior experience. We'll start with the CI and AI basics and build up together. The first course, GitHub Actions Pro, will cover the fundamentals of CI/CD with GitHub Actions and assumes you know the basics of GitHub and software development (git, pull requests, repos, etc.) but assumes you have no experience with Actions or other CI platforms. For the AI courses, it will start from basics, only assuming you've used something like ChatGPT and basic AI-assisted IDEs before you get started.
At least monthly. I've got multiple courses around CI/CD and Agentic DevOps planned, and the benefit of ADOG is that I will trickle out lectures as I finish them. No long multi-month waits for "big updates" or full course releases. Between video releases, we will be having scheduled calls in the Community to cover your topics and things I'm learning and releasing. Plus, ADOG members directly influence what content I'm creating and researching!
Yes, I offer a 30-day money-back guarantee if you think it's not the right fit. DM me in the community chat or email him for more info.
Not at this time, as I think the value in this offering is the steady pace of updates and the learning over weeks and months of calls and community updates. I might offer individual courses or workshops for sale (which ADOG members would get for free) that could be purchased separately, but the guild itself is only available as a yearly subscription.
Yes, for teams of 5 or more, please email Bret for a custom quote.
